Horse of the Year is an equestrian event held in the Hawke's Bay and attended by 50,000+ people over the course of a weekend. With 1800 riders, 2500 horses, and over 150 trade sites the show caters to a huge audience of enthusiasts of all disciplines. The event is managed by SMC Events, New Zealand's leading event & activation company, with the creative managed by Design Distillery.

Solvent Design was responsible for the design and layout of the 150 page event magazine and riders catalogue.
On a strict page limit and a short deadline the magazine came into shape in a matter of days and was delivered to print specifications, on time through a colossal team effort by all three parties involved.
